Packing is the one of the most important activities of the Moving process; it has a lot of technicalities involved in it. Whether you do this yourself or get this done by a Mover, make sure that you plan for this.

Make a list, room wise, of all your belongings. Decide on the belongings that you need to move along, and the ones that you can either store or discard.

Analyze the packing needs of the belongings that you will be moving. Gather sturdy packing materials from a Mover. You can obtain cartons from the neighborhood grocer, supermarkets or wine dealers.

Pack your belongings room wise, this way you will be reducing the chances of missing them. Attach labels to the cartons and write on them the stuff they are packed with. If you are packing stuff like glassware, antique pieces etc. in a carton, mark it "FRAGILE." This will help you load these items in the right place.

Prepare a checklist of all the packed items. This would go a long way in easing your Loading process.
